Norfolk police investigate 2 overnight shootings

Last night Norfolk police were busy investigating two separate shootings.

The first happened around 11:30 p.m. on 31st Street right around Llewellyn Avenue.

Police say the man who was shot was taken to the hospital and should recover. Those who live nearby say the shooting may have stemmed from a robbery.

The second shooting happened less than one hour later, on Fenner Street. That's off Tidewater Drive near I-64.

People at the scene say that a man in his 20s was shot and taken to the hospital.

There is no word on his condition at this time.
